As I was browsing through Country Living (one of my favorite online resources), I came across this DIY project on how to embelish plain, ordinary containers into something spectacular. I thought this would be great to dress up centerpieces for your wedding and other wedding events. Hope you like it…
The Beaded Vase: Make this vase by stretching individual strands or sets of elasticized beaded bracelets around an empty canning or jelly jar. For larger jars, use beaded necklaces and double or triple them around. These simple eye-catching arrangements make a striking statement at any gathering, especially when lined up on a table in lieu of a centerpiece. Guests can even take them home as favors.

The Ribbon Vase: Use an oversized square vase and hot-glue the backs of striped and polka-dotted ribbons to the vase. You can also use a heavy-duty double-faced tape to adhere the ribbons instead of a hot-glue.
The Colored Pencil Vase: Hot-glue a kaleidoscope of colored pencils to a glass vase or jar. Fill the vase with your favorite blossoms and tie a bow (we used double-faced satin ribbon) around the bottom.

The Crystal Bud Vase: Place a glass bobeche (look for these candlestick collars where candles are sold) atop a bud vase and hang crystal lusters around the edge. Finish with any single bloom that can stand on its own. These would be great as favors.
